Our group has been running track for 5 weeks now. Every year in July we start our track workouts and they take us all the way to the Tulsa Run 15k. A track coach from ORU wrote our training program back in the 80's and it still prepares everyone for their best. If you are looking to improve your running performance and speed it is important to include track workouts, into your training program. The idea behind them is simple, by running faster than normal for shorter than normal distances, you will increase your body's aerobic capacity. Try not to skip your track workouts even though you might be tempted too. Track work is difficult, but it should be. It is what enables you to improve and it makes you stronger not only physically but also mentally.
