Running is FUN

You can be in the best physical shape of your life, but if your mind isn’t into it, chances are you’re not going to have a great run. Also, you probably are not going to get very far. I think people often over-look the mental part of running. The times I have done the best in races, haven’t necessarily been just because I was feeling strong physically. My mental state, including my emotions and overall beliefs about how I could do, have had just as much impact as my physical state. Not every run is going to feel great. They certainly won’t all be easy, but when you approach a run as something fun, chances are you’re going to feel better.
