I’ve been working out since June 6th of this year and I’m leaving behind a sedentary lifestyle. I’m doing crossfit for my workouts. Here’s a link to my gym. I’ll not go deeply into the ways this has changed my life at this point, but I will share with you an epiphany I had this morning.
Crossfit workouts are done in community. Every WOD (Workout of the Day= WOD) is different than the one before. It’s constantly varied. Both of these make crossfit a good fit for me, because I’m at my best in community and I love variety. WOD’s are cycled through according to the gym owner/trainer. It may be 30 days to a year before you see a particular WOD again.
But it brings with it a challenge. Every WOD is a new and brings with it an unknown quality to it.
The WOD on the date I’m writing this is:
Run 400 meters, 100 kettlebell swings (55lb for guys) 100 wallballs (20 lbs medicine ball), 100 box jumps, run another 400 meters for time.
I’m gonna be honest. I’m not sure I can do it. In fact, the 100 box jumps will be scaled to step up/downs..
