Kevin Ogar Benefit WOD – Saturday 25th

When: Saturday, January 25th @ 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Where: 918 CrossFit & CrossFit T-Town

What: On January 12th, 2014 Kevin Ogar’s life changed forever. He suffered a traumatic injury to his spinal cord as a result of a “freak accident” while competing at a CrossFit event in Orange County, California. At this time, Kevin has no movement below the waist and will be faced with numerous surgeries and a long road ahead for rehabilitation. 918 CrossFit and CrossFit T-Town will be hosting a benefit WOD in Kevin’s honor on Saturday, January 25th at 3:30 pm. Cost to participate is $20 per person and 100% of the proceeds will go to Kevin’s charity for medical expenses and rehabilitation.

Format: 2-Person Team (Male, Female, or Combo)

Schedule: Registration will begin Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm at CrossFit T-Town. WOD demo and instruction will be at 2:45 pm and end at 3:00 pm. From 3:00 pm to 3:20 pm, each athlete will have the opportunity to warm-up (if needed). At 3:20 pm, staff will get participants organized, and the event will begin at 3:30 pm with a WOD at CrossFit T-Town, there will be a 1-mile run to 918 CrossFit, and end with a WOD at 918 CrossFit. We estimate most will be done in 30 minutes, however the event will continue until everyone is finished. Immediately following, there will be a “reception” at a local establishment to be announced later in the week. If you need a ride back to you vehicle parked at CrossFit T-Town, a “shuttle” will be provided every 30 minutes starting at 4:40 pm and ending at 5:30 pm.
Donations: For those who cannot attend the benefit and would like to donate, please visit the following websites: http://kevinogar.com/, https://fundly.com/kevin-ogar-s-recovery. For you spectators planning to attend but not participate, we will be taking donations for Kevin at both locations.
