I think running, biking, swimming, rowing, and jump roping are all very necessary to lifestyle training. If you are trying to build mass then just lift and eat. If you want to achieve an overall lifestyle of fitness then you must do the stamina thing. I'm older and I have had many years of weight lifting under my belt. I'm not trying to gain mass anymore, it's all about conditioning and staying fit for life!
