Agreed, I'm a big fan of Tim Ferriss. Do you agree with his advice to have a weekly cheat day on the slow-carb diet? Do you think it's more of a mental thing?
I agree everyone needs the spike of food on a cheat day. I can go 10-15 days before I need a cheat day. I think the body needs a carb-load every so often. What's your opinion?
I think it's more of a mental thing, a chance for the body and mind to recharge and realize that the junk food doesn't do anything except appease the mind. The longer I stay on a clean diet, the longer between cheat days/meals I need, and actually the smaller cheat meal I need to feel satiated.
A cheat day for me is not junk food, but maybe a heavy sauce that I normally wouldn't eat or maybe a glass of wine. I don't deviate too far from my normal lifestyle/diet.
