No matter what you do in life, never take your thoughts off the main goal. Where do you want to be in 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years? How are you going to get there? What will you sacrifice to make it happen? The reason I am climbing Rainier and getting my cert is, so I can climb the 3 week Denali in Alaska. Leave me some comments on what you plan to do?
Great entry Chad.ReplyDelete
1. For me it is all about progression, keep moving forward. In a year I want to be crossfit fit, I have done the bodybuilding show, I have done the super heavy weights but now it is time to turn a complete 180 and become the "all around" athlete that is not only adaptable but functional at the same time.
2. I want to spend more and more time outdoors just due to the fact I spent so much time outdoors when I was a child and as an adult my life took a complete turn with career and lifestyle that it got me into a mold a mold that I am unhappy with, I do not want to come home at night sit on the couch and watch TV while eating crap foods and watching my life slowly pass away. LIFE IS MORE THAN THAT, LIFE NEEDS TO BE ENJOYED.
3. Being happy in what you have. We get so caught up in what the other has that we forget how lucky we are to have an over abundance in this life, as long as we have shelter, clothing, food and especially LOVE in your life. A person with all of those is truly blessed.
They aren't so much goals as they are ways to live my life in a different directions. Goals will change and I will forsure have to adapt my path but the goals are still the same.
Keep up the great entries Chad and Good Luck on Rainer.
